Hi, I am Rachel

I am a wedding and equine photographer based in Boulder, Colorado. I was born and raised here, surrounded by mountains, open skies and horses. Nature and animals were my first subjects and they still shape the way I see everything through the lens.

I studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where I earned a degree in Commercial Photography and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I also minored in Equestrian Studies and have been riding since I was five, which taught me to read a horse well before I raise a camera to one.

Ten years on, the work is mostly weddings and horses. A mountain elopement, a ranch wedding, a portrait of a horse and the person who knows it best: the aim is the same every time, which is a real connection rather than a pose, made in the kind of light that only happens outside.

I photograph couples and horse people across Colorado, including Denver, Lyons, Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, Vail, Aspen and Keystone, and I travel further when the day calls for it.
